Not familiar with this part of Spain? The Mar Menor is the biggest sea water lagoon in Spain, with more than 70Km of coastline, and the best conditions for water sports. But if you are tired from water skying, kite surfing or even scuba diving round the numerous ship wrecks in the area, you can visit the millenary town of Cartagena and its old Roman theatre or even escalate the cliffs and mountains just 120 minutes away by car, in the area of Moratalla… this is if you do not get hooked cook with the delicacies of the local cuisine which might drive to a well deserved “siesta”.
